Thybulle did well against Tatum when defending him, you can expect more minutes from him in game 2 and he will likely match Tatum's minutes. He defended him very well once he was assigned to him strictly in the second half. Too bad it only took until halftime for BB to realize that.

100% expect the starting lineup to change to Milton/Richardson/Thybulle/Harris/Embiid and bring Horford off the bench with Alec Burks and the second unit.

I love Thybulle more than I did before after this game. I know Tatum had a good game, but I was so impressed with the kid.

Yep, he's going to be special once that three becomes a little less streaky. He has DPOY potential (or at least All-Defense since wings rarely win DPOY as we know) and is already a terrific defender.

At least that's one trade we made out well on with Boston 🤷‍♂️

Embiid only took 15 shots, but there were like 10+ other times where he posted up and had his man sealed and called for it and didn't get it. Or wasn't aggressive enough in calling for the ball.

Like Shaq used to say, he'd tell his teammates give me the fucking ball and if they didn't he would chew them out. No reason for Embiid not to take 25 shots, even with being double teamed a lot.

Thybulle spent the most time guarding Tatum of any Sixers player Monday night at 6:40 matchup minutes per.


It only took until the second half for BB to realize that Thybulle is the man to do the job, after they let Tatum absolutely go OFF in the first half.

Start Thybulle in place of Horford and have him assigned to Tatum, and then let Richardson continue to defend Kemba as he did a great job of that last night when he was defending him (as expected).


Oh, and Josh Ricahrdson and Alec Burks shouldn't be taking more shots than Joel Embiid against the baby soft front court of Boston. 15 shots is unacceptable from Embiid, i don't know what the fuck BB is doing but Embiid shouldn't be floating up top in the 4th quarter against the garbage centers for Boston.

Or its just unlikely he would shoot 80% in the 2nd half as well lol

Don't let anyone except Thybulle defend him, period. Even when he was on him in the first half, he held him in check. It was when he had other defenders on him that he had his way and went absolute bonkers.

Made the mistake of switching and letting other guys check him, which was stupid. Tatum is too crafty facing up to have someone that has less than ideal lateral quickness defending him, like Tobias Harris who is garbage defending quick/crafty perimeter scorers.
