Lmfao bro do you see how Ant Edwards literally would be Michael Jordan back in the day. The same athleticism, better 3 point shot tbh. & would be able to get off middies way easier back in the day.

That tells me our league 10x >> cuz ant is amazing but he ain’t called Black Jesus 😂

so you're telling me the 1920 all stars wouldn't stand a chance vs the players today? Get out of here....

Never thought I'd see this bunch of mature 30+ year old basketball 'fans' sensationalize the contemporary game. That's meant for young/casual fans to qualify and substantiate themselves.

Of course when we compare players spanning decades; many benefitted from the evolution of sports medicine and game techniques....

What hasn't changed is their will; and yall silly af if you really dont think OGs had desire or will to win just as much as any.

Give them the benefit of modern sports medicine and they would push their abilities further, adapting new techniques too.

It's all based on a fallacy of hypotheticals. You can't just put them in a vacuum when things are not equal.

obviously technology is going to get better, player health care will get better, nutrition. You can't compare players from 30 years ago to players now. Thats down right stupid. But Jordan was head and shoulders better than any players in the league at that time. DM can cry about it all he wants. But if LeBron was raised in that era he'd be another Karl Malone.

Will to win? Yes.

They simply weren't as good though. Period. The game has evolved, players have evolved.

I get medicine and nutrition have improved so players are faster, stronger, taller, etc, but how have the fine motor skills and finesse improved so much? Before 7 footers were bricking free throws but now dropping dimes and hitting threes.

Could not agree more, and I’ve always said this.

The tall idiot on this forum loves to say how Embiid is a much better player than Shaq was, because he can guard the perimeter (well he can’t really, but old mate likes to claim he can), and is a good jump shooter.

But if Shaq was born in todays league, he’d likely be doing those things. The greats were great for a reason, they knew how to be better than their peers.
