Problem is league is trending towards switch happy defense.

Our length can bother people, plus we have more play makers.

Unfortunately, as much as I loved Crowder, I think he benefitted a lot more from Steven's system than we anticipated.

It saddens me that people still shit on Crowder, even though he gave his all during his tenure with BOS.

Which is exactly why us Celtics fans were luling when people said we should be worried about losing a midget + a taller midget + Jae when all are undersized lol
<3 Stevens
Celtics sold IT at the right time. Stevens him look better than ever last year and acquired a star for him
Did the same with Jae so I agree with you
Never liked him so glad he's gone tbh
Can't create ONE shot for himself or others EVER. Easily replaceable.

The thing is Crowder was one of the most important locker room leaders, and refused to tank. The problem is Crowder doesn't know when to step the fuck away from social media, and not be blindsided by fans. Especially the whole Gordon Hayward incident. Crowder is too prideful, and has a lot of ego.

But deep down, I think his passion and intensity will be missed, but Morris and the Jay Brothers will make up for that.

Loved Crowdaaaa but you are right - he wasn't really much before the Rondo trade and I don't think he'll be much outside of Boston's system. His very team friendly contract though makes him an asset to any team for sure

Top shooters in the NBA so far this year:

Criteria:
1) At least 200 minutes played so far
2) At least 100 FGA
3) At least a .300 3PAr (i.e, at least 30% of FGA are 3PT attempts. This is to screen out guys with high efficiencies who just dunk like Drummond & DeAndre).

eFG% (effective shooting efficiency)
1. Otto Porter .672
2. Klay Thompson .637
3. Al Horford .635
4. Kevin Durant .634
5. Robert Covington .631
6. Aaron Gordon .624
7. Kyle Kuzma .621
8. Stephen Curry .620
9. Gary Harris .619
10. Evan Fournier .598

3PT%
1. Aaron Gordon .559
2. C.J. McCullum .547
3. Otto Porter .525
4. Al Horford .515
5. Robert Covington .492
6. Kevin Durant .492
7. Evan Fournier .474
8. Gary Harris .469
9. Klay Thompson .467
10. Tobias Harris .459

TS% (scoring efficiency)
1. Stephen Curry .690
2. Otto Porter .678
3. Kevin Durant .668
4. Al Horford .660
5. Aaron Gordon .652
6. Robert Covington .644
7. Klay Thompson .642
8. Kyle Kuzma .640
9. Evan Fournier .635
10. Gary Harris .625

Obviously, the season sample size so far is tiny. These lists will look very, VERY different by the end of the season.

But so far, Al Horford has definitely been one of the most efficient shooters / scorers in the NBA this season.

every time it leaves his hands for 3 it looks like it's going in. Super impressed with his start to the year. He deserves every dollar he has been paid contrary to what most C's fans will tell you.

What's important is that he isn't forcing anything
He's missing a ton of open shots and is yet to get off to a hot start in a game I believe
He's been exactly what we need
Making the extra pass every time after drawing so much attention -- doing exactly what people said he can't do + DEFENSE!!!!
Kyrie getting PTs probably the last thing Stevens is worried about because you can count on him when his number is called

Isaiah Thomas effect.

Kyrie is our go to scorer, so he's gonna get double or triple teammed, which has led to open looks for JB/JT, and Horford.

Yup, my biggest worry is that Kyrie would ISO on most matchups, but it seems like he's doing exactly the opposite of all the critics were saying.

He's being a leader on and off the court, especially with how he has talked about Kyrie, himself, having to adjust to how the team operates. True team player's words coming out of his mouth.
