It'll happen sooner or later. Once Lebron is done being useful to the Lakers the organization will pursue the next superstar.

Bump.

In my pandemic boredom I’ve been watching old games on YouTube. Just finished game 4 against the Magic in 2009. I vaguely remember that year, to be honest, but those Fisher shots late were so fucking good. Honestly, I feel they ought to retire his number, one of my favorites Lakers for sure. Also crazy to me was the case of Andrew Bynum. He seems like he could have been one of the best centers they ever had and went from being right there to be traded and completely gone in short order. Dude was just a child I guess in the head (of course the injuries didn’t help at all).

Magic-era Dwight Howard was a sight to behold. I remember loving watching him play 2010-11.

Funny that you talk about Bynum. I actually been looking for a Bynum jersey this whole week... lol he was great until his injuries kicked in.

That dirty ass hit to Barea was huge too, I couldn't believe that shit.

He ran the whole gambit production wise. He’d have games with like 5 points and I feel like I remember him having a 30 rebound game once LOL. He definitely had talent but watching him he wasn’t on the level mentally of the title team.

I remember the shock I experienced when they got rolled by Dallas that year. It was kind of sad seeing the end of that era and his hit on Barea at the end was so fucking symbolic of where things were.

but 2 titles, getting to watch Kobe all those years and beating Boston in game 7 in LA was absolutely worth it. No question. Was worth all those shitty years with fucking Boozer, Randle, Russell, Ball, etc, etc.
