The Pelicans have begun to listen to trade offers for Anthony Davis again, via @ShamsCharania on Davis and more from around the league

So here's my thought about the AD trade situation:

Our GODFATHER offer will not be on the table again, Pelicans missed out on this offer and thank god it didn't happen. The "GODFATHER" offer was Ball, Ingram, Kuz, Hart, Zubac and multiple(2-3) 1st and 2nd round picks. It was the most ridiculous trade offer I have seen and the Pelicans said NO? Demps feelings got hurt by the Lakers and he didn't want to trade with them, he also wanted to wait for Celtics offer which they thought Tatum would be included, Danny Ainge we all knew he wasn't going to offer Tatum. LOL Demps was instantly fired for turning this offer down and now the GM is David Griffon, who said he will look at every offer, even the Lakers. People inside the Pelicans Organization really want to take the Lakers deal. This GODFATHER trade was offered by Magic who went rogue during the trade deadline and was ignoring Pelinka and Jeannie Buss, this offer was way more than they agreed on.

AD is on his final year of his contract and is a Rental to any team in the NBA. ADs price is going to be lower this offseason than what teams were offering at the trade deadline. This is just common knowledge, less time on the contract, less valuable. AD came out and said he would only sign an extension with LAKERS, Knicks, and Clippers. This vital information helps the Lakers, making other teams really hesitant to trade for AD and we can Lower our offer a little.

Lakers moved up in the Lottery Draft to #4, which is an amazing trade asset because it has a 7 mill cap space. This makes it even easier to match ADs contract. We also only need to match 80% of AD contract which is 21mil. I believe Lakers offer will be Lonzo, Ingram, Hart, and the #4 Pick.

I truly believe we will keep one of Ball, Ingram, or Kuz. If we have to give them all 3 then we will keep the #4 pick. The reason Kuz is so valueable is his contract is 1.6 mil this year and singed for another 3 years, that's tremendous value. Someone who averaged 19 points, 6 rebounds, and 3 assists a game, that contract of 1.6 mil is SUPER JUICY!!! Kuz contract is what we need when we sign a Max Free Agent after trading for AD.

Lakers plan is to sign a Max Free Agent this offseason too and Ingram is coming up to a contract year and there is no way we can sign him to a huge contract. As good as Ingram has been if we sign a Max Free Agent we can't keep him, it's Randle all over again, we signed Lebron so Randle had to walk. Lonzo, we are selling him at really good value for AD, we know Lonzo is a nice piece moving forward who's Defense is incredible but his Health is really discouraging, He can't stay healthy.

Kyrie is seriously thinking about the nets so this helps us in a AD trade. Boston is not going to pursue AD if they don't have Kyrie and the Nets just sent Crabbe and their 1st round pick to ATL. Nets made room for 2 max slots so they have less assets to make a trade for AD. This AD trade is really looking to swing in LALs favor. This also means we won't have to offer the whole farm and the slaves because teams are dropping out.

Couple teams that have a decent offer but no where near Lakers offer are Clippers and Knicks, the only way they get AD is if David Griffon just doesn't want to deal with Lakers, like SAS with Kawhi and Pacers with PG13. I also don't think Knicks go after AD if they miss out on Kyrie and KD. There's also reports SGA is not on the trade table, which makes it hard for Clippers to offer a AD trade package better than Lakers.

I really just want this AD mess to be over with so we can move forward with the Free Agents. We might be putting in too much work on this AD trade that we miss some FAs.

I’d rather keep Ball than Kuzma personally but either that brings in AD is a win.

Ball and BI are by far our best assets, David Griffon loves BI and Ball is a guy you can build around or trade for a 1st round pick, if you don't like him. Suns and Bulls are high on Ball.
