Apparently Terry Rozier agrees with Kyrie that Earth is flat lol.

Saw his tweet too

IT / Kyrie
Bradley / Smart
Crowder / Hayward
Amir / Morris
Horford / Horford

Smart/Rozier
Olynyk/Baynes
Brown/Brown
Green/Tatum
Jerekbo/Theis
Rozier

For those of you thinking downgrade, a good site by side rotation look. Bold to me is clear upgrade over last year, no question. Loving it b)
What should be our starting 5?

But yeah the forum has like 3 Celtics fans, shame

I really wanted him.
He brings a lot, but always a risk to get injured for the season. Risky with our big man depth, but was worth it imo. No question about his rebounding, toughness and paint protecting.
Not sure we'll pick up another player. Bogut is what we needed. Handing out a guaranteed contract to a big who isn't a rim protector would prevent us from looking for a player available at the deadline (buyout)

He may very well start.
The reason I don't believe he will, is because Rozier is most effective with the ball in his hands.
Last year we had 3G sets with IT, Smart and Rozier -- Rozier being used as a shooter is a really bad idea.
With Smart in the starting lineup, Rozier would be handling most of the ball handling for the 2nd unit.
Brad is going to go all out pace imo with the 2nd unit. 4 players running gunning, with Baynes protecting.
Rozier - Brown - Tatum - Theis - Baynes
That's a really tough line-up to run with. Question is can they score in the half court?

I was thinking Brown in the first lineup as it has a bit more floor spacing and allows Kyrie far more leniency on offense. But the Celtics have pretty great spacing even with Smart starting and he can obviously D up the oppositions best guard more far effectively than Kyrie.

Your posted lineups are probably right on the money to be honest.

I agree Brown would make the offense easier for some -- as where Smart can run an offense better than what he can bring offensively.
Pretty sure you nailed it too about the defense. Smart should be in there to protect Kyrie. Jaylen is no slouch, but he's no clamp like Marcus.
Best case scenario would be,
Kyrie-Hayward-Morris-Horford-C
But having only Baynes as a true C really prevents us from starting him at the moment imo.

Theis is still the player to keep an eye for me. Bigger version of Marcus Smart(playstyle). He could easily start at PF for us.

Bogut is the type of player we needed
Rim protection and defensive rebounds

T-Rob is the only one who would even be an option for me
He can rebound on both ends + can run the floor
Extremely limited on offense and not sure hes even average on defense

Best thing to do is go into the season with that open roster spot and buyout/trade for a vet mid season
This way we also give Yabu and Theis a lot more time to fit in
Im SUPER stoked for Yabusele

Very unique physical player with ball handling / 3s and defense...strong as a mf
