So I was just thinking about the future and this is what I came up with.
We are looking to add a 2nd Super star in the offseason, that's no secret, Magic has been very vocal about his plans and it seems like he is sticking to it. With that being said I think KD and Kawhi are top targets and both are really good. Let's say we get one doesn't matter which one, everyone has there own opinions about who is better but both are really good, I prefer Kawhi. Adding this super star in FA is the next big step in Magics plan and its the key to get the best possible roster, this allows us to trade our young core for a 3rd star.
Next step would be getting the 3rd star by trading our young core. We have Ball, Hart, Ingram and Kuz, these young players are very talented and have awesome contracts which are valuable to their talent. AD is a huge name that has been thrown out a couple times in rumors, I think this would be a HUGE move but it would cost the most. This is a move I think we would do, AD is more valuable than our young core paired with LBJs and KD/Kawhi. To get AD we would have to give up Ingram, Hart, and Kuz or Ball plus a 1st rounder. Do you guys think this is enough to get AD? Which Laker would you want to keep Ingram, Kuz, or Ball in any AD trade?
AD is obviously the #1 choice to trade for but A second name to trade for as our 3rd star would be Beal, if he doesn't get moved this year he could be a very nice piece beside LBJs and KD or Kawhi. To get Beal I think Ingram and Hart plus picks would be enough, no way would Ingram and Kuz or Ball be worth it. What do you guys think Beals price tag would be to get him in LAL?
So at the end of the day I think we have a shot at getting LBJs/KD or Kawhi/AD. We just have to be patient, I don't think we will trade for anyone this year.
Thoughts?
