DOWN fucking 15 entering the 4th Q. We claw our way back, it's TIED with a minute left and we have ball. Lebron whiff on a 3, and they get a layup. KCP whiff on a 3, they get a dunk. Down 4, 10 sec left.
Hooooorrible playcalling. Lebron wants a high screen and can't do shit with it on back to back possessions.
Now you're seeing why LeBron needs a closer, he doesn't drive at the end of games, he takes long threes or defers.

First he took a step back three that he made to end the first half and has made several times this season (he's shooting just under 40% on a career high 6 attempts per game).
Second he drove, and was not able to fake away Nikola, so he dished it out to a WIDE OPEN KCP that bricks it.
What more do you want?
This isn't a one game sample size, we've seen this so much in his career, he needs a closer. A step back three at the end of the 1st half is not the same as the end of the 4th qtr with the game on the line, just ask the Rockets about that.
