Harrell has been in Doc's dog house for a long time now, he hasn't been in the rotation for the past couple of months.

He was doing well offensively when he was playing, but he doesn't defend for shit. There's no reason to give him minutes over Paul Reed who brings energy and is a good rebounder. Dedmond and Harrell will probably only see minutes in the playoffs if Embiid or Reed are hurt.

Reed and McDaniels can be filed under the “super athletic but really dumb” player category. Niang and Shake have also been pretty dumb bench pieces for the Sixers

The bench unit for Philly stinking it up so much is what is ultimately going to be their down fall, even with Maxey being phenomenal

Yeah Reed and McDaniels are great athletes but raw and undisciplined at times. Reed has been pretty good lately in his role though, which is to play any time Embiid is off the floor. Hell, last night he had 10 rebounds (5 offensive) in just 13 minutes. I'm just glad Doc is finally establishing him as the backup center, because fans have been asking for it since last season as well.

Fyi...Maxey isn't coming off the bench anymore. That experiment ended in February after coming off the bench for like 15 games. He's just too productive playing next to Harden and Embiid, but he does stay on the floor with the second unit often. He's been on fire though lately, over the last 11 games averaging 25 PPG on 55% FG, 53% 3PT, 91% FT.

Looks like Melton, Reed, Niang, and McDaniels will be the primary guys off the bench in shortened playoff rotation. They'll rely heavily on the starters.

2nd seed isn't locked up though, technically. If Celtics lose tomorrow, they're 2 games up with 3 games remaining. Slim chance to blow that, but still a possibility.

Also, 76ers are going to win no matter what. Celtics not winning in Philly again and sweeping the season series.
