Sources: Former Rockets GM Daryl Morey will sign a five-year deal with the Philadelphia 76ers as soon as this weekend to run the franchise’s basketball operations.

Interesting.

"Source tells me Doc Rivers met with Daryl Morey in person Sunday to discuss their vision & approach for Sixers going forward. They have worked together before."

Sam Cassell is following Doc Rivers to the Sixers as an assistant, per @PompeyOnSixers. He was among the candidates for the Rockets head coaching opening

That Rockets team taking the super loaded KD led Warriors team to a game 7 was incredible tbh

shit was impressive how quickly he turned things around for the Rockets, beginning with the obvious James Harden trade centered around Kevin Martin lol.

Morey is a unanimous top GM in the NBA, you won't find a ranking or list of "Top NBA GM's" that doesn't have him in the top 3 or top 5. I'm pretty sure every basketball fan can appreciate his understanding of the NBA. He's a great asset to have.

Above all else, this will hopefully push ownership away from decision making, which has been an issue in recent years. Now with proven big names in the front office and coaching I think ownership can step back and let Doc and Morey do their thing and Brand can be a GM and not have to listen to all of the other voices like last season.

Wild Trade Scenario:

#Rockets get: Ben Simmons, Al Horford, and Mike Scott
#Sixers get: James Harden and Robert Covington

I was just listening to Radio.com Sports. I was looking for some NFL trade talk.
And they just posted a trade scenario on Twitter. What in the world? Wow!

As much as I'm not against trading James Harden, I still believe our best bet is to run it back this year.
Maybe next summer we'll be in the market for a major move like that. It's just a year too soon for now.

The idea of having both the Horford AND Westbrook contract on the same team is haunting. Simmons/Westbrook together also makes no sense, I hate this for the Rockets.

As much as I would absolutely love to have Harden on the team, something about trading a 24 year old All-NBA and All-Defense player for a 31 year old just doesn't sit right.

Would much rather it be Embiid if this trade happens. Morey not crazy about centers either

Simmons for Harden I would be very against

wait wtf

as soon as i was ready to give up on this shit franchise and hinkies work

they reel me back in

daryl morey is not trading ben simmons, the guy that analysts loves that can move through positions seamlessly.

Embiid is not getting traded either, he is Philadelphia basketball, he is the process. The sixer fans would join the black lives matter in the riots if morey pulled that shit
