yes, transfering gets you candies of pokemon. you need candies to evolve (12, 25, 50, 100 depending on pokemon type and number of evolutions possible) and yes, a triple lure area is when there are 3 pokestops all within walking distance of each other and people usually crowd there and drop multiple lures, one for each stop.

There's a popular area right near me that has literally like 7 or 8 pokestops all on the same busy street. I was out there getting my drink on trying to be the best and catch them all in a drunken stage.

Some random dude ran up to us (wasn't even playing didn't even have the phone in my hand at the time) all sweaty and frantic looking like he had not showered in 2 days and proceeds to tell us there's a pikachu down the road. The fuck? Is this what this has come to?

When you put your Pokemon up in a gym can you like leave it there and just come back? Or how does that work? Do you need to stay there?

Dayum, I have a 700 wartortle I spent like 20 minutes catching but I need 100 candies to evolve and I only have 13..


Its getting to the point where I have to use at least 3-6 balls to catch any 200+ cp pokemon

I didn't know about the double exp thing but, if you catch for example a bunch of pidgeys use the candies to evolve them which gives you a ton of xp each time .

Also catching new Pokemon gives you a chunk of exp

The candies are Pokemon specific

Drive 5mph and it will hatch

Each Pokemon has their own set of candies. Unless they are the same evolution. Pidgey, Pidgeotto, Pidgeot all take the same candy for example.

What you want to save for when you get to the high levels is star dust. Never use it on any pokemon until you get to level 20+
