I'm worried about Ingram, he needs to get bigger. Kid just gets pushed around all game.
I can't help but feel the opposite. I expected him to have zero impact this season consider how young and underdeveloped he is but he's already making a huge impact. For a 19 year old rookie to be a plus defender is insane, and that's exactly what he's been. His defense was something that was not discussed much pre-draft but he's looking a future all-defensive team member. I jumped out of my seat last night as he got two HUGE stops on Jimmy Butler in the last minute.
Offensively it hasn't always been pretty but the most important thing is that he's taking good shots. He's beating guys off the dribble with relative ease but struggling to score around the basket due to both his raw footwork and slight frame. Those are things that can be improved dramatically over a single off-season of pro instruction. The things you can't teach-- length, athleticism, IQ, feel-- have shown up each and every game and that what is important and exciting.
