If you run a 7-game series a million times, both teams will win some and one team will likely win more than the other. So the winner is not necessarily the best team because the better team is the one who would win more series given an arbitrarily large number of series runs. Since each team would win some of the series, the best team doesn't always win.

That's not whay people are hating on. His point about the best team not always winning a 7 game series is true and makes sense, but don't misconstrue what people were originally questioning him about:
