No. He asked him a question regarding if something was enough and the response was more. The situation is unclear, not a clear agreed deal and confirmation.
He should ask him to clarify.

The fact that sometimes there will be tough calls if you strain your mind to find the most ridiculous of scenarios is not a good enough reason to keep stupid rules.
Simplicity for list runners is not always what is best.

And how the fuck is someone supposed to know there are special unofficial "betting rules" posted hundreds of days ago that are very very very strange?
"they should look at the rules' and "rules are rules" are not legitimate arguments for having stupid rules.

Even if they had magic mind reading powers to know there are dumb rules they need to dig up, In atleast two of the instances the rules were posted by people who are locked.

The potential rule could stipulate it has to be reasonably clear and unambiguous, and could recommend using "confirmed" instead of a 100% requirement.
"Ok" is a confirmation. "cool gl" is a confirmation too.

Im open to different wordings and suggestions to how we could make it better too, to minimize problems that could arise that you guys are worried about.
Requiring a magic word is not the only way to do it.

What we have here is a bunch of people who have been doing something a certain way for years and are resistant to change and are getting pissy about it.

Or we could not change the entire system and just leave it how it is because it works perfectly fine. Please show me all the bets where people are getting scammed bcuz they didn't know the rules? The shit works perfectly fine day in and day out.

Edit: how many times do you need this explained to you before you get it through your head? The system must be BLACK AND WHITE, there can be 0 gray area, 0 subjective wording, 0 "obvious meaning of English." That's what the system does, it makes it 100% obviously whether something was a bet or not. There's no arguing about "what he meant." Was the bet confirmed, or not? End of story.

If you chose not to read the rules before betting and get scammed, your own laziness cost you your FG.

That is your subjective opinion.

When someone says "OK i want the bet" to a bet or "cool gl" when terms are agreed upon, its confirmed. Thats pretty black and white.

No that's not my opinion, it must be black and white. There has to be complete objectiveness so that there's never an argument over whether a bet is official or not.

If you join a new sub forum and you've never bet before you should take 3 minutes and find / read the rules. If you decide not to, once again that is your fault.

Here's what will happen.

"My lakers +5 vs magic for 500"
Random guy posts "I'll take magic -5 for 300"
OP "ok u got 300 glgl"
Guy #2 "will you take my magic -5 for 300 also?"
OP "ok fine 300 more for u too"

After the game guy #2 will be like "wow I never confirmed I was asking if you would take 300 more but u took to long to reply so I forgot about it"

Do you see where if guy #2 posted "I'll take my magic -5 for another 300 if you want, c'd before tipoff" and then OP quotes him and "confirmed" how that is a much much much better system.
