Warriors look tired tbh.
After pushing hard for 73 wins in the regular season.
Walking over the Rockets.
They met a challenge in Portland. Seems like that series took a lot out of the Warriors.
Now they're facing a more complete team in the Thunder, and the Warriors looked gassed.

It's the closest we can get. That arguement holds true more for baseball i.e. Luck ect. But 7 games is the most logical way to choose a championship. Anything more or less wouldn't make sense.

Also true though, of all the major sports, basketball has by far the least variance, and the outcome of the season is typically very very close to the team's actual quality. NFL, MLB, NHL are all much more likely to have upsets.

he's not saying it should be reformed... he simply said the best team doesn't always win

I'm saying that they are. There is no other way. You can't say the best team didn't win when it isn't logical for another way to be done. The best team wins in 7 games. You don't have to agree they are better but they proved it.

Because if okc keeps playing at this level they'll beat the cavs easy

Well Durant almost certainly can't play at this level, he is virtually neutralized by LeBron and can't stop him. The concern is mainly how do we defend Westbrook and will their big men and role players continue at this level?

Very unlikely that a team suddenly becomes this much better and maintains it without any personnel changes after having a full healthy season together.

Definitely not true. Seven games is far too small of a sample size for the best team to always win. Even 100 game series would maybe have one upset in a million runs.

But for example, prior to this game, the Warriors were still favorites to win the series even being down 1-2. That doesn't happen unless you're substantially better.

P.S. why's everyone hating on IceMage what he's saying makes perfect sense.

It's the champion, but it's not always the best team in the league.

it's true that the team that wins the seven game series played the best throughout the series.

it all depends on how you define best/better

But it isn't logical. Over more games a team could get better, fatigue ect would set in. 7 games is perfect to pick the best team at that moment. It isn't like statistics were more is better. I do see your point tho.
