If you have time, it helps tremendously to watch the games. Aside from that, stats are the only thing to go on.. w/l record doesn't indicate much, scheduling is more important. Just pay attention to the outcome of the games even if you don't play them. See who's been hot and who's been cold. Syracuse has been a covering machine that doesn't get any credit. They keep up with big programs. Big favorites usually cover.. and there are a lot of live dogs in college hoops. It takes a little time but you'll get it.
