Moment of truth for this franchise.
If Lakers get top 3 pick, all is right in Lakertown. Turning the corner, rebuilding, bright future narrative, etc etc.
If they fall to 4 or 5, there will be doom and gloom. Franchise will be blamed, criticized, etc.
Though it's all based on luck now, so it's kind of silly to praise/criticize the front office and ownership based on chance.
It is fair to say that the new ownership has been bad, though. The GM is still one of the best but the new owmership has already made a lot of bad decisions.
