ya i dont understand much of what that means, can you explain it to me? im half restarted/ Jrue gets paid 30m a year and Gafford is like 12m, so wouldnt that help the Cs salary cap still??

Luxury tax threshold is 170m, the Celtics swapping Jrue for Gafford would still have them way over the luxury tax line. Do the owners want to keep paying a compounding luxury tax for a team that basically has 0 chance of contention with Tatum out the year? Probably not, but crazier things have happened I guess

Then it would take more than just Jrue if theyre trying to salary dump. From listening to Boston sports, the vibe is keeping the core of tatum, brown & white. I've also heard a rumor that Brad Stevens still wants to keep KP, if he does well in FIBA (health wise) Idk anything can happen look what happened to Marcus Smart.



I have no championship aspirations for the Celtics next season and i'm alright with that, lesser expectations can help the team out. Idk about 50 games but I'm excited to watch just hope they're keeping JB.

They just won over 60 games. Tatum isn't worth 10+ wins. Assuming they stay healthy otherwise they absolutely should win 50 games without him

They were 8-2 this season without Tatum in the last 3 seasons they're 20-6 without him. Let's not act like Tatum is some franchise carrying superstar. The Celtics have a great team outside of him.

this mans hate is unlimited. it doesn't even make sense man. if you dont think jayson tatum makes the boston celtics a better team when hes available then youre just flat out hating and not being logical at all.
