Simmons game, which is out in the open, isnt that applicable in the playoffs due to increased care on the defensive end.

We ain’t talking about practice. We talking about playoffs. He isn’t good in playoffs. And with embiid, the goal is rings. Not simply getting to the playoffs


Not to mention his playoff production and efficiency has deceased every year.

He has played noticeably worst since getting the large contact. He wasn’t even worth the large contract at the time he was payed. And has been performing worst.

If I paid someone 175 million and they took 4 shots in the 4th quarter of a Game 7 then they are fired/traded immediately. IMMEDIATELY.

If you are paying people 175mil and they are taking only 4 shots in 4th quarter of game 7 then your team is losing 100% of the time.

I have an idea for Simmons but it's so bat shit crazy and genius the 6ers brass would never go for it.


KEEP Simmons, but make him play in garbage time with the scrubbers and make him shoot jump shots.


That way he'll get in game practice to boost his confidence. And if he throws up rubber ducks it won't cost his team games.


Maybe get Maxey more minutes in crunch time til Ben gets at least a respectable shot, it's gotta be in there somewhere.

Simmons was absolutely worth the max contract and that's laughable to even question that. They signed him to the extension after his second season, he won ROY his first season and then was an All-Star his second season. Then they signed him, at 22 years old. He followed that up in his third season with making the All-NBA team in addition to another All-Star appearance AND a 1st team All-Defensive selection and repeated that again in his fourth season. wtf you mean he's not worthy????? You see some of the players around the league with nowhere near the accomplishments Simmons has getting max contracts? LOL

So please, tell me in WHAT world does it make sense to say he wasn't worthy of it? We get it, he sucked in that second round of the playoffs but damn talk about living in the moment lmao

Yes, we were all frustrated watching him not even attempt to score in the 4th quarter of those games. It was clearly a mental issue, which much of it likely had to do with his sudden inability to hit free throws in the playoffs as he didn't want to get to the line. An aggressive Simmons is a dangerous one, he's tough to guard when he's attacking and aggressive but the issue was he stopped attacking because he knew he'd draw fouls and he couldn't knock down those FT's. Forget jump shots, all we needed from him was to play his game and be aggressive and they would have advanced in that series.

Does it piss me and every other Sixers fan off? Yes, but some people are being very short sighted here and not understanding how stupid it would be to trade a player of his caliber and accomplishments at his age and get less than desired return. Morey is not going to sell low and I absolutely support that.
