The issue is the system. Mazzulla is trying to utilize Tatum like he's Lebron James running the offense. He simply isn't that type of player. He's amazing, but shouldn't be playing Magic/Lebron coming up the court while trying to shoot like Curry/KD.
The roster is too fucking good for the Celtics to operate like that. That's why the offense died in those games against the Knicks and they ended up choking away big leads. Everything is JT looking for his and then choosing who is getting the ball.
I have no fucking idea why they evolved into this. Mazzulla truly fucking blows. I can't remember the last time I saw Jrue or D. White come up the court and run the offense. It's been months.....That's just not Celtics basketball.
He should have been fired the moment he said 3P FGA is the most important stat. I mean, just listen to the guy in his press conferences....He doesn't speak, he does math.
They need to do a much better job of returning to "Celtics basketball" and just play around what the defense is going to give up like last night.
