Why do Celtics losses always lead to good media coverage?
After that loss to Memphis, we have a lot of people saying that the Grizzlies may have the formula to beat the Celtics.
Use their 5 to shut down 4 and leave Jrue open since he is their worst shooter. Jrue shot 4-17 from 3 which were literally all uncontested. Big Yikes.
But to even pretend that Jrue shooting poorly is the reason is hilarious. Everything had to go right for Memphis on one of the Celtics worst nights.
Tatum shot 28%/10%....KP shot 33%....White shot 33%/28%. Only JB(5TO) and PP had solid games.
Ja and Clarke had their best games of the year. JJJ also had his best defensive game and 2nd best game from 3. The Grizzlies also shot 50/45. Not to mention the Celtics took more FTs but bricked at a higher rate
I mean nothing went right. NOTHING.
Want to know the real reason that stratergy worked? 5th game in 7 nights. 2nd night of b2b......against a fresh Grizzlies team.....and it was a 2 point game with 3 min to go.
The Bucks beat the Cs by 35 last year under the same circumstances.
Give me a break  That strat is fucking BUNS and I really hope more teams defend the Celtics that way.
I know this guy isn't acting like the national media doesn't slobber over Boston sports
Celtics are the chiefs of the NBA at this point, minus the proven championships (easy injury riddled cupcake playoff run doesn't count).
