Rew they are in the west. Unless some of the 50+ win teams have severe injury issues, the Lakers have pretty much no chance of making the playoffs. All the teams who made it last year are still in tact and a threat (Houston got a little worse, but still D12 + Harden). NO will make a push for a playoff spot. So will Phoenix.

Not flaming, just being realistic.

Why do you think Houston got worse? Asik wasn't meant to be in the line-up at all and they added Ariza who I see as a better player than Parsons.

It's not like Jeremy Lin is any better at all ROFL

at least Troy played some amazing games, I remember one against Blazers I think? I may be mistaken but he hit some big shots in the playoffs?

Jeremy Lin on the other hand did nothing but lived of the hype.

Like I said, Asik wasn't part of the plan since day 1 and they played him to keep his value somehow alive.

He is probably better, but did he contribute as much as he could and should? No and I think Daniels as their backup PG won't hurt them unless Beverley goes down with an injury once again.

Omer Asik, sent to the Pelicans for a first-round pick when the Rockets were clearing cap room in July, started for New Orleans, reminding the Rockets of the depth they had and hope to rebuild at the position.

“We’ll definitely miss Omer, there’s no question,” Rockets coach Kevin McHale said. “You’re going to miss a guy with that amount of talent. He’s a big body. He sets screens. He’ll help his team immensely because he doesn’t need the ball to help you. A lot of guys in this league … need the ball. If they don’t have the ball, they’re not worth the gum on your shoe. He knows how to play.

“He knows who he is. Believe me, Omer is not trying to make 3s. He knows who he is and what he does. He does what he can do and he does it very, very well. He’s one of the top centers in the league."

was a boneheaded trade to strengthen a rival imo

You know league is bad at C position when coaches think he's one of the top centers in the NBA, lol.

Lakers got destroyed by the jazz but Kobe got 27 on 10-23.
That's actually not bad. Hopefully he can be consistent.
