I'm on vacation on my way to Oklahoma and rest stops usually have a decent amount of Pokemon but it's always the common Pokemon like the rat and pidgeys

Does it work like that? I have seen krabbys and the starfish in areas with no water at all. Also I'd be content with a fuck load of magical to evolve a gyrados

yeah from the streams i've seen it does work like that. magikarps and krabbys stuff on the beach.
The map recognizes bodies of water in blue.

honestly, i've found if you're stationary, just open and close the app every 5-10 minutes and usually something pops up

I want the xp from evolving but i have 0 pokeballs righ tnow and 24 great balls

not really worth it even though i am surrounded by them all the time lol
