He’s very good offensively for sure. Especially in the post. But he’s getting roasted offensively off the dribble a lot every game.

I think Smart was a better player overall, however, that would mean we wouldn’t have KP… so it’s overall still a win.

You're out of your mind if you think Smart is a better player than Jrue.

Jrue was an all-star last season (second selection of his career) while being a first team all-defense selection. He's not really being used to his full potential in Boston due to being a 5th option now, obviously, but he's capable of a lot more than Smart when he gets the call to step up.

Now will he bring that DAWG leadership come playoff time for Boston like Smart did? We'll see.

Jrue being a 5th option just goes to show you that the celtics are the team to beat this year.

Smart was definitely better defensively than Jrue has been this year. By a long long way. Jrue has been pretty average defensively. He gets burnt a lot and has no idea how to get over the top of screens.

His corner 3 and post game are legit though.

But yeah I’d smart at his best was better than Jrue has been for us this season.

Smart is a vocal and emotional leader. If your team doesn't already have that in place, Jrue definitely isn't going to right the ship

Smart has grit and relentlessness too. If there is a 50/50 ball some players will hesitate to contest him because of how wild and reckless Smart can be

It's like when Monty said that a couple players dove for the loose ball. But then a week later he told me the entire team, staff, and media/fans in attendance dove for it. I knew Pistons ml was a lock. They broke their streak that day.
