Judson, what kind of cereal do you eat over there? Where's the best supermarket to buy stuff and what's it called?
I'm imagining you get the same U.S. brands like Frosted Flakes, Fruit Loops. Fruity Pebbles, C'pan Crunch, etc... etc...

There's a chain of malls with supermarkets inside. I can walk about 10 minutes to the biggest mall I've ever seen inside of which has the equivalent of a Wal-Mart.

The cereal selection is very slim, but they have Frosted Flakes (called Frosties but are real Frosted Flakes, have Tony the Tiger etc, apparently other countries not just China call them Frosties), Honey Nut Cheerios, Corn Flakes, imitation Fruit Loops and a few others. I mostly each Chocolate Frosties and Cocoa Puffs and Corn Flakes.

So how would I mail you a birthday card? Do they have some station you pick up paper mail, or are they just done with that old school snail mail shit all together?

You'd overpay a lil and send it via UPS or Fedex, or Chinese equivalent etc. Not a big deal, but you can't just throw a stamp on it and stick it in your mailbox. You gotta mail it like a package, and it'd be received like a package (I have no mail box) so like knock on the door etc.

Thats pretty interesting.

Do you have to worry about things like the water being bad on certain days? Or is there a warning you get (like in Mexico dont drink the water) type of shit?

water won't make you sick you can drink from the tap, but it has way a lot mineral in it, really hard water, so I drink a lot of bottle water. It's no big deal won't make you sick but idk over years and years maybe some stuff could accumulate?

Yea I think I would end up drinking bottled water too. Even though its probably pretty close to the same there just like it is here.

How do vacation days work where you work? Since you are a teacher does that mean you get summers off? or is it different there?

Also how tired of answering my questions are you?

So have you seen any cool wild animals yet Judson? I would imagine some of the more common stuff would or could be totally different than what we have here.

not tired of answering questions.

I teach in a private English training school (the public school jobs are not very good) so our schools are backwards. We are busy in the winter and summer when the kids are on break from public school. When Chinese kids have vacation from school their parents are like ok now you can go to extra other things! lol

So we are super busy on weekends, and other times kids are out of school. The vacation policy is awesome though. We get about 2 weeks off for Chinese New Year, 1 week off for the National Holiday, a few days off here in there like xmas new years other 1 day holidays, and I get about 3 weeks of personal paid vacation per year.

very little wild life here :( i guess cuz it's a big city. There only wild life I've seen is birds really...

There's no like wooded areas for them to live in where I live. I'm sure there's wild life out in the country around the city but I haven't been out there much.
