Imagine drafting a guy #1 overall and then four years later when he's still only 24 he's already made 3 All-Star teams, 2x All-Defensive 1st teams, and has an All-NBA selection as well and the team has their best season in over 20 years. Then you trade him...for nothing? Not happening, not on Morey's watch.
People put a LOT of blame on this guy in the second round, and rightfully so. But at the end of the day he's not the only reason they lost to the Hawks, and he's a HUGE reason why they had the #1 seed and were as good as they were up until that point. People don't realize they would have NEVER even sniffed the #1 seed had they not had Simmons, he was vital all season long to their success.
You can ask for whatever you want but you expect to get a king's ransom for the 3rd best player on your team.
It's not happening.
As I said unless Simmons proves he can make defenses pay for sagging his value isn't going to magically improve.
He's a flawed player. Still a good player, solid starter. But still flawed.
Stop bringing up all-star appearances when responding to me until you respond to logically.... Would Simmons make the all-star game in the West? Why is Simmons going to get in. When Booker could not?
You are putting a lot of blame on the playoffs. I have said none of that. Stop typing nonsense.
This isn't shade. This isn't hate. But if you're going to talk to me at least put your fanatic side down and realize. Simmons is not getting a Har_en type return period. He's not getting a PG13 return.
Simmons is flawed. Still has value. But he's flawed and rightfully so. Teams are laughing at Philly's asking price.
