Polinka shouldn’t through him out on the market. But if lebron demands a trade, I mean he has earned the right after how he has handled his career.

I was never a big fan of the AD lebron pairing to begin with. To much money wrapped up in average to slightly better than average 3 point shooting in todays nba. He really needed to get with a youngish guard that could shoot. Get more shooters. Then get a big man like Stephen Adams for lob threat, defensive presence and relatively cheap. Not saying stein adams specificappt. But that type of center is what comes to mind.

I think lebron knew that there was went much he could do to persuade boomers that were going to ride the MJ being the best player ever falacy. So he opted to just be in LA where he could build his overall brand. While simaltaneously kinda going after rings.

But one of lebron steaks spots is talent evaluation. Similar to most of the greats like Larry bird or MJ.

Nba is for sure more intriguing when the GOAT is in the thick of the finals conversation.

But I’m not sure you are going to get enough for Westbrook + picks to make it any sort of game changer for this year. Which is why I think some sort of combination of AD Westbrook and picks is what is needed.

But I’m also not sure you are going to get equal value for AD. People will only really want to be buying low on AD

Nobody is paying fair value for AD and Westbrook is a negative value. Best thing is to just accept it and move forward. The Lakers will always be able to attract top FAs so they need to keep their picks and flexibility for when the door reopens.

i hate the lakers.

i dont care about them.

Just care about seeing Lebron in the finals.

And i agree, which i said in the last line of that post, that no one would pay equal value for AD. People would only want to be buying low on him.

Just interesting to see what packages people could come up with involving AD westbrook and their picks

LeBron wont be in the Finals again, he is content with riding into the sunset with the scrubs in LA

probably

but neither would have been a particuarly good fit.

Even tho it seems derozan has been doing better from the 3. I havent really paid particular attention to his numbers.

Trading LeBron is career suicide, he is untouchable unless he tells them to trade him.

Not sure what you could really get for AD anymore, his shot has declined and can’t stay healthy.

I remember when you 🤡’s tried to tell me AD was more valuable than the JT and JB

AD was traded for a massive value haul, the hypothetical trades being done for Boston at the time only included one of the Jays. As a reminder the Pelicans got Ingram, Lonzo, Hart, multiple 1sts and swaps. Also I recall that AD made it clear he wouldn’t re-sign in Boston which obviously lowered the value for Ainge, but didn’t lower the value for Griffin.

How good would the Lakers be right now if they just kept their prospects? Wonder if they would be in contention for a ring this year. Probably not a high probability but I could see top 4 in the West with Ingram, Hart, Caruso, etc

Prolly the same spot they're at rn tbh
