Watched the whole game bruv. He started off slow but looked great for most of the game. Your guys’ problem is you’re playing guys you signed off the street significant minutes to provide “shooting”. You have no depth, and the Westbrook experiment failed.

Do you ever wonder why lately LeBron scores the majority of his points when the game is well out of hand? He also loves checking in when the opposing teams bench squad is in to get his easy points.

LeBron getting his points against actual nobodies is not indicative that he is still great, just that he is desperate enough to keep checking in after the game is well out of hand

What the lakers are supposed to bench their starters in the middle of the third quarter on the first game of the season? They actually got it within 12 or so again the 4th, it wasn’t totally out of hand but they did get thoroughly beaten

LeBron has not been an impact player for a while now. He doesn’t play defense and he doesn’t tilt the floor anymore offensively. Seems clear that he is now in that next tier of players after the top 20ish

He’s absolutely right other than the top 20 thing

LeBrons a stat padder at this point. Still an unreal player and likely top 10 give or take, but he’s not the winner he once was.

The cream of the NBA have certainly gone past him.

Is there anyone taking LeBron over Jaylen Brown for a playoff run at this point? I’d have to select Jaylen and he is in that 15-20 range. I can trust Jaylen to lock down a wing but LeBron simply can’t be asked to defend anymore if you want him to produce his stats

Look, you kind of have a point, but playoff LeBron I imagine would play hard. We don’t see that nowadays obviously in LA as he knows that team ain’t ever doing shit, so he plays for regular season stats to boost his records and legacy

But if I had the choice in the playoffs I’m still taking LeBron…

Fair enough, we may never see fully motivated LeBron in the playoffs again. Don’t think this Lakers team will hold up to make it past the play-in

Agreed

Also, it looks like JB is on an absolute mission this season, so maybe your comparison might be correct anyway
