He's not a defensive liability though, he's just not a strong defender now overall. He's outstanding defensively in the post though, because he's a big guard who has a strong base and can prevent guys from backing him down. He's has elite hand speed so his steals and deflections are always up.

Funny part is that just two years ago he led the league in deflections and post defense, was 2nd in the league in steals, 1st among guards in steals and 5th among guards in blocks, and received All-Defensive First Team votes. The whole narrative that he's some absolutely awful defender is so bogus

Compared to Seth Curry, who he replaced on the team this year, he's a defensive upgrade that much is for sure.

you're comparing an 8 million dollar 3 point specialist to a 45 million dollar superstar

DeRozan's TS% = 59%

Harden's TS% = 60.8%

Are we not talking about on the Sixers? You're looking at his full season numbers yet this thread is talking about the Sixers losing "the trade", we don't care what he did in Brooklyn on that shit show of a team with backup scrubs.

He's posting a 61% TS since joining the 76ers. MUCH BETTER THAN DEROZAN's TS% LMK

His uptick in TS isn't due to shooting, he's actually shooting WORSE than he did in Brooklyn

His uptick in TS is solely due to increased FT's from flopping more

TRUE SHOOTING % my guy

If you're talking FG% that's a different story, but TS% incorporates everything. Free throw shooting is a way of scoring, and is part of TS%. Just an FYI you can't bring up TS% then resort to "well his raw FG% is not good" lol

Shooting more ft's means your beating your defender and they're fouling you as a result, which results in FT's

The best players draw fouls, period. If you're not it means you're easy to defend or you're just a finesse jump shooter.

Less ft in playoffs
48ers have two players that make their money at the line

Wont work against bucks reftics or heat

Facts are - refs don’t typically make those ticky tack fouls in the playoffs - especially in closing time .

They don’t want fts deciding games and you don’t have anyone who can score a basket in crunch time
