Pretty sure it's due to min. position requirements tbh. Needs to be a certain number of guards, forwards and c's on the rosters. Which imo, they should scrap that. Bring the best of the best, regardless of positions (for the bench that is, starters is a diff story).

e/ I just realized that there is no positional requirements. So I'm confused as to why coaches are voting guys like Gobert and Draymond in, when ain't nobody wanna see them in an ASG

I’m not questioning if he can ball. All star isn’t about what you can do, or at least it shouldn’t be. It should be about how well you are doing this season. Yet again, I see it as a popularity contest.
