He’s going to be on load management 50 game max reg seasons until the end of his career which unfortunately will be cut short of course.
Playing on a clown team like LAC is never going to help him physically or legacy wise.
I can see him pulling a San Ant move again and request a trade to somewhere with a warmer climate (Was talking to someone who worked for SN in Toronto about what Kawhi in Miami would look like)
There’s always the possibility, albeit not the strongest, of Masai making a play to get him back to Toronto but it would take some serious finessing and wouldn’t happen at minimum until LAC fails again this year
Yea you’re absolutely right. There’s a good possibility that Kawhi really doesn’t care too much about chasing rings like Durant and LeBron. Maybe he will just be happy to be in LA and be semi competitive. It’s not like the Clippers aren’t a top 4 team in the West.
I think it’s not a question of if Kawhi will have his career cut short, only how soon will that happen and how much will he drop off. I wouldn’t want the Bucks to invest major assets into acquiring Kawhi, I wouldn’t trust his body to hold up even for one year at this point… too much of a risk when the team is already stable enough to compete.
The teams who should be looking to take a risk on a Kawhi acquisition are Portland, Philly, Toronto, Dallas, Miami, Denver, Phoenix, Atlanta. In short, teams that are close enough to a title, have some assets to make it work while not emptying the cupboards, and have a big enough market to satisfy Kawhi and his uncle.
