Who’s a better overall basketball player ? That’s tough. KD is a better scorer, but not by all that much believe it or not. Bird played 13 seasons & averaged 24/10/6 on 50% shooting. KD has played 13 seasons & has averaged 27/7/4 on 50% shooting. Bird was a better rebounder & passer. Let’s compare career stats.

Bird:
3x champion
2x finals MVP
3x regular season MVP (3 years in a row)
9x all-nba
12x all-star
Rookie of the year

KD:
2x champion
2x finals MVP
1x regular season MVP
11x all-nba
9x all-star
Rookie of the year

Bird has had the better career so far. Bird suffers from not a lot of younger fans being familiar with his game / watching highlights. Dude was a baller.
