If we trade Beal and WB, then pretty much the only decent player we have left is Rui (maybe Deni if he develops). We're much closer to rebuilding than competing, so we'd just be paying to ride the treadmill, which doesn't make sense to me.
This is true, but some teams don't like to completely rebuild and "tank" from scratch quite like other teams do. Rebuilding to them can be starting fresh with young players while still being relatively competitive and still trying to make a push even if it's on a treadmill lol.
