the pistons were never going to go anywhere building on a core that included drummond in any capacity.
drummond is a physically huge, averagely skilled basketball player who gets all-star usage.
he's poor offensively, and even though he's bigger than 99% of the guys he goes up against, struggles to be effective in post up situations and can hardly create his own offense.
he's best used in pick and rolls alongside a good outside shooter, and as a high post distributor, but for some reason the pistons rarely utilized him as such. the cavs don't seem to know how to get the most out of him either.
he's also mentally weak.
we should have moved on from him long before we did.
