Like anyone from the Philly area will tell you....Pats and Geno's are just tourist traps. They're cool to visit if you're not from the area and want to check out some famous spots, but the cheesesteaks are far from the best. There are a lot of better places.

Jim's is legit, but the best in Philly is Dalessandro's IMO.

Dalessandro's, John's Roast Pork or Steve's are the absolute best places to get a cheesesteak. Can't go wrong with any of those.

Thank you bro this is A1 advice ๐Ÿ‘

Iโ€™m not a big fan of Dalessandro's. I had cleavers on south 2 weeks ago. Meat was baller but bread a little hard. It all depends what you like.

Soft or Hard bread?
Chopped or Sliced?
Type of Cheese?

Dalessandro's Steaks Wiz is weak as fuck

So you like sliced?

Steveโ€™s is by far my least favorite. I need chopped, soft roll, and a good wiz

not there now but will be in Philly this summer, hopefully the Covid restrictions will have loosened a bit by then

I'm in Milwaukee right now so my favorite place to go to is Portillos. if you ever go there get the cake shake, it's delicious but you'll feel your blood thickening as you drink it (1,500 calories in the shake lol)
