Ok are you thinking the Raptors can contend as is?

I think if Siakam gets back to form (somehow) and OG figures his shit out, Toronto will make the playoffs. No i Dont think Raptors can beat Lakers/Bucks/Nets in a 7 game series unless things change. Maybe not even new players, maybe just let things fall into place.

I am not in a 'win right now' type of mentality.

Ya its been a 0-3 start but there are several pieces taht Toronto needs and we aren't going to fill it right now with players, the intent is that OG and Siakam have even better years than last year (I know it may not be the most realistic expectation for Siakam after getting exposed last playoffs). If Toronto is going to stick with its mission statement of Defense like it did the last two seasons then we Need a better 5, or at least a vet on the bench to help teach Baynes and Boucher because we have them both for multiple years. I would trade Powell and Lens (Baynes maybe) for Howard or something of the like, Maybe not Howard because he is maybe too old but maybe Steven Adams or better yet Lemarcus Aldridge or even Joakim Noah, Probably Aldridge..

But I would trade Freddy or Lowry plus for Steph Curry

This season really is a complete cluster fuck for the Raptors, its good they play in warmth and sun, but its bad they dont have fans and media and fan gatherings etc to help motivate them. Players point to fans all the time as a source of motivation and Toronto doesnt have that. If not fans in the stands, then the private gatherings for season ticket holders, if not that, then the constant reminder from Media time that everyone cares and wants them to succeed. Raptors aren't even playing remotely close to a majority of Canadian fans and that mental aspect of the game is bigger than anyone cares to investigate.

Geko's have no loyalty to their players. Zero chance he retires for that franchise. He'll either be wise and leave at the end of his contract. Or he'll get traded.

You kidding me?
Portland gave Brandon Roy a max deal knowing his knees were shot.
Portland never wanted to get rid of Aldridge. Refused to trade him even after he said he wanted out a season or two before he left.
Portland gave Allen Crabbe a max deal. @ 17/18 mil per
Portland gave Meyers Leonard 4/10mil per
Portland gave Harkless 4/10mil per
Portland refuses to trade CJ and gave him a max deal.

This is just within the past decade. You know when 90% of this forum first started watching basketball.
Portland is extremely loyal to their players.

Remember that debate last year that Siakam was the better player AND had the higher ceiling than Tatum?

This is why I’ll never value the opinion of ANY nerd/loser/virgin (every single person here other than my lovely self) opinion on this forum. Because none of you know a single thing about basketball lol. Just washed up old Diablo players (which none of you are good at either)
