Offensively, Ingram has the obvious edge as a shooter. That much is a given, however he is nowhere near as good at finishing around the basket as Simmons. He's also not as good as a facilitator or rebounder as Simmons either. Ingram is an impressive scorer though there's no denying that.
And defensively? They're not even in the same class. Simmons is a top tier elite defender who can literally defend ANY position on the floor at a high level. while Ingram is pretty weak on that end. He has the tools to be good as a man to man defender, but its just nothing special. The Pelicans absolutely bled points with Ingram on the floor last season too.
At the end of the day Simmons is a whole lot stronger, agile and just flat out more physically gifted and has the skill set (outside of a jump shot ofc). Ingram is only 6'7" after initially bullshitting and having people believe he's like 6'10 or 6'11. Simmons is a legit 6'10" and still much faster and agile.
I'll take both Simmons and Tatum over BI any day of the week.
I’ll take Tatum over both too. Well said.
