I think he's a poser but he is doing some good work. It's just ... not enough if we're talking about making someone out to be an activist.

though i entirely agree, i've been pondering the contrast lately;

someone can devote a lot of their time and effort on the front lines of a cause

yet

someone can alternatively devote a lot of their earnings towards whichever cause

LeBron definitely falls in the 2nd category

bring back NBA Cares, need to humble the pros and remind them without down syndrome andy and his fams consumerism, they wouldnt live like kings

There is a lot of pluses of consumerism, you get a lot of cool shit every year. There is a lot of negatives tho, debt, depression, unstable society etc.

But I mean. Cool shit tho.. lol realistically there is a balance there that can be struck, mostly amongst yourself & not the at the feet of the entire system. Guess it tilt depending on the masses trends since it’s a biologically reflective system imo. Economic systems per say, they reflect the composition of the entire human population under its control. Even when it’s by force there is typically a catastrophic even that reshapes it when it’s not reflective enough.

NBA Players are just a function of what we value the most at the moment, entertainment, so we pay them absolutely insane amount of money for entertaining insanely huge masses.

LeBron James is Pro-China and didn't defend Dary Morey's comments about standing for freedom and Hong Kong.
It seemed a bit selfish to me. Like LeBron only cared about his bottom line and financial growth in China. Oh well!

It's crazy how modern day "activists" just say things and don't engage in any real activities

Christopher Dormer, for example, was a real activist

Loved him as Worf in Star Trek: TNG
