Celtics guaranteed chip if Hayward cums back

They've been a good team for a while and they're finally moving to the top of the East (like the Bucks and Philly were supposed to do with them) but I don't know if they have enough firepower even with Hayward, assuming he returns in the ECF and doesn't re-injure himself. Plus I think the Heat vs Celts is a good matchup.

The problem with the Celtics has always been size against the likes of Giannis, Embiid, AD...and will the get any bench production outside of Marcus Smart

Celtics were the 2nd best offense against top 10 defenses during the regular season. Only team top 4 in offense and defense

Another problem is JB and Tatum aren't closers yet....they couldn't do anything late against the Raptors. It was usually Kemba trying to make a play.
I think they are still 1 year away.

That's sort of what I meant about firepower. When the game is on the line and everything goes into lockdown mode, they're going to have trouble scoring on guys like Kawhi, AD, Lebron, PG ... they need a closer. Kemba is an extraordinary talent but he's a flea. I think they need to look at developing Tatum as THE closer. They can score, but I don't know if they can score when they really need it against elite teams. Regular season and even early playoff stats don't mean anything when Lebron's 7'3 wingspan and strong body are all over a point guard or shooting forward and the refs somehow forget their whistles.



Me? I don't know. I think it's tight. I never want to say never with Jokic in town. I think he's the most creative big man in the game right now.

Does it really matter? Giannis and the Sucks are out and Philly threw up on themselves. Was a good year.

Why do you hate the Bucks & Philly? I'm disappointed in both teams but it's been a weird year. I think that Miami has been the team of the year in the East in terms of getting their shit together. Boston is where they should be.
