He definitely fucking not top 15 (Siakam). Embiid is definitely top 10 and he would have to show some drastic improvement or people in the top 5 would have to show a drastic decline for him to fit in there. Hell even Luca Doncic has passed Embiid over in the top 10 easily & only more talent is yet to come if this is Embiid’s plateu. It’s a good one don’t get me wrong but to get in the MVP conversation there is a different level. To be Giannis, Harden, AD, Lebron, Curry, KD, Kawhi, Damian Lillard (this year) levels isn’t just a fucking cake walk.
Pascal Siakam is AT BEST top 25-30 with a PER VORP DPM TS VA all advanced stats much much below any top 15 player . He has shown amazing growth but you guys are smoking some real good shit to put him anywhere near the likes of the top 15 players on the planet.
Lillard?
Nah, he's a beast all but he doesn't impact the game the way Embiid does. He's an offensive stud, yes, but defensively what type of game changing effect is he having? Embiid changes the game...on BOTH ends of the floor at the absolute highest level. He's not only playing half the game at a high level. You want to talk about this season? Look at how shit the Trailblazers are, regardless of Lillard's individual production he just doesn't dominate a game from all aspects and his team is still ass. Embiid as a fucking rookie turned the NBA's worst defense into the #1 defense when he was on the floor, he single handedly anchored the defense (literally).
Let's not forget that only three players in the NBA last season scored more than Embiid (#4 in PPG) and only one player rebounded more than him (#2 in RPG). Let's also not forget that he has been a legit top 3 DPOY candidate in voting each of the past two seasons (#2 in 2018).
There are really only two or three players that are clear cut picks over Embiid to build around in the NBA: LeBron, Giannias, Kawhi. Then there's KD (assuming he's healthy). AD is Embiid's bitch and gets daddy dicked in matchups (AD can't even defend Embiid), nn to talk to me about him when Embiid does everything he does except Embiid is a hell of a lot bigger and stronger while in the same range of athleticism. Also not putting Harden up there, because Embiid gets to the free throw line almost just as much without flopping rofl.
Small guards that can't play a high level of defense, no thanks. Offensive specialists, but not complete dominant players. Also, Steph Curry would just get exposed for his relatively mediocre NBA level athleticism on a bad team without a bunch of other players to take the pressure off him. Kinda like we saw in the Finals and this season before he got hurt.
The pot has been stirred. Welcome to the party boys!
