I think its really better for the story that he left, became Villain Lebron for 4 years up to and including going from Red and White Jersey to Black and Red Jersey like a true villain would.. then came back as the Savior for The Land and instantly brought them to a finals and the next year winning a ring... Only after completing his promise to The Land he left for the West coast as all super stars do.
