Come out from under the rock, Corey

Banchero is out for 4-6 weeks and magic have been absolutely mediocre without him.

The cavs are way better. Even with banchero healthy.

Well it ain’t the bucks, and it sure as fuck ain’t the 76ers.

Your knicks look absolutely mediocre too.

Cavs are my second best in the east, by a considerable margin.

So far, sure. This happens every season though, teams get off to insanely hot starts or unusually slow starts. We all know it comes together as the long season goes on.

Also, a healthy Sixers roster always dick slaps the Cavs and even more so now with PG. Inb4ButHealthyIsADream

The Celtics were the 11th seed in 2022 at All-Star break

We should know not to take November basketball too seriously by now

Young roster combined with a new coach trying to work things out. chemistry issues with players like Josh Richardson / Dennis Schroeder. The team was instantly improved when it traded out the cancers for team first guys like Dez White

You’re right that teams shouldn’t be judged this early in the season, and I think Knicks and Bucks will definitely improve. But the topic is the best (or second best in the east) right now, as it is. And that’s not the magic.

I think Jordan was proven wrong, much of a teams success really starts with the guys in the front office. The Celtics are where they are today by the combined talents of Ainge and Stevens. Ainge for building up the treasures and Stevens for having the balls to make trades where he isn’t getting a clear win while having a coherent vision

big difference with hindsight and what uncertainty there was at the time of the KP, Jrue, and Horford trades

Pretty much everyone said that them trades were big wins at the time, and hindsight has proven them correct.

There were a few casual idiots at the time, that thought it was an L… e.g DM “the Celtics have no dawgs, the Celtics have no leaders” blah blah blah. But everything he says is a casual take. So it doesn’t really count
