Beals wins by leaving the situation in Washington to go play for a contender.

Wizards are big losers, out the past few years they had the ability to get a lot more than what it appears they are getting now. They don't even seem to be getting a 1st round pick, just ability to swap which won't be worth it for many years.

Definitely the best time to trade him was 2 years ago.

That said, it's not like his trade value is going to go up... best time to trade him is today. Team needs to tank; having Beal goes against that.

Anyone who expected a haul didn't understand the situation. He's maxed and had a no-trade clause. He could pick his destination. Team was at his mercy, and why would he do the Wizards any favors?
