at least not in the modern era when players need to abide by contracts, it happened 30-50 years ago when players could weasel out of their contracts more easily

Utah could easily be outbid by someone like OKC that could not only add more value to a package but also have plenty of leftover to work with after the trade

nobody has Luka outside of top 5 with players like Kawhi always hurt, LeBron too old, Durant fading

the consensus top 5 seems to be some order of Jokic, Giannis, Embiid, Luka, and Tatum

Luka is younger and locked into a multi-year deal. Utah's trashy late round 1sts are not nearly enough with undesirable prospects like Sexton and THT

it's fine to have dreams I guess, but this trade going down has basically a 0 chance of happening
