The reason why Im still on the Barnes train is because there are those moments of brilliance where all of a sudden he moves around the defender like a wizard or gets to the right spot to create the play.. But he doesn't do it consistently. I think that is coaching.
This year and last year the Raps have let go of so many decent players that are taking off on other teams because FO is delivering great players but the coaching staff can't handle it. Nurse was so obsessed with winning this season that he played Fred and Siakam 40 - 45 minutes for many stretches.
I think if we get a new coach, a new nagging voice the team isn't used to hearing. a new pregame ritual to get everyone going, a new end of 3rd quarter speech to help push the guys and hold onto those leads. I think Barnes will exponentially grow if and when that happens
Since Nurse made the comments, they just came out of left field. Like from the lake past the diamond out of left field. The whole team energy is off.
Siakam made off hand comments about how some of the guys just go about their business and cont push to grow as a team.. That is coaching.
