Celtics are the underdog on this game, meaning that should you want to do a s/u (straight up) bet as you're doing, you could (should) be asking for odds. It looks like the official is 1 : 1.4, so you'd say something like.
My Celtics > Warriors
250 vs 350
And that's a reasonable bet.
It's still straight up, so winner take all, but you're not leaving FG on the table or letting people take advantage of you because you're unfamiliar with the rules.
