Not the point of the question. When the Nets formed many people expected them to sleep walk to a title and then run it back. So far it’s looking like they’ll break up but they still have a chance to prove themselves in the playoffs this season. If they flame out again then I expect Harden dips because he is a little bitch, tho I cant completely blame him for not putting up with the sage flat earther

Nets are top of the East right now and are a favourite to win the championship by a decent margin...

So I mean again I dont think we can say that this superteam is underwhelming when by Vegas betting metric they are the favourite to win the championship and this is also their first year as a superteam You know calm down like Lakers didnt win in 99, Bron didnt win in 2011. Boston didnt do well in 2007... Again we actually need multiple numbers of years to go by before we can actually say that they are unerwhelming.

I would say by the metric that matters right now, and that is Vegas futures, Nets are living up to expectations. Im going to stick with that until proven otherwise.

And I think the Super team that underwhelmed the most historically was the Suns when They built a team around Nash with Stoudemire and Shaq..

Or like the Houston Rockets when they got WEstbrick, Or the houston Rockets when the got CP3, Or the Houston rockets 15 years ago when they had fuckin TMAC Ming and the other guy.

Some people thought the Nets were the most stacked team ever assembled, for them to come up with 0 rings would definitely be underwhelming. You just sound silly right now. 538 had them as the strongest team in the league last season and this year too

That’s true and LeBron did talk a lot of shit about playoff mode and keep that same energy when it begins.

Still a lot of people did predict Westbrick and aging LeBron would struggle.

I get your argument now in terms of teams that are expected to win a championship and historically haven't. Then ya well Boston won their chip, Miami had their run. Lakers had their run of 3 finals in a row 08-10.. I don't think winning 1 championship during the stretch can mean that a team is underwhelming. For me its 1 chip. SO, by that standard, If the Nets do not win 1 chip (assuming the team stays together) over the next 3-4 years then ya I would consider than one of the most underwhelming superteams by the standard of actually finishing.

Again though I still think The Rockets when Harden got multiple stars year after year is really hard to top as an underwhelming "superteam" albeit the other stars changed over those 4 years.. But every year there was the talk that 'this is the year that Houston made a superteam to beat the Warriors' that was a big thing during the Warriors Dynasty. Got bodied 4-0 like every year...
