and I'm seeing this same drivel on Facebook also.
Basically this is the worst and best trade for Lakers? And if they win it was an easy ring and if they lose LeBron choked with a super team? Make up your minds y'all.
A lot of star studded teams don't win a ring. The nets in 21, the Warriors in 19, the Lakers in 04, the Cavs in 15, the Heat in 11 and 14.
This doesn't change the obvious intent they had to increase their odds as much as possible.
LeBron / AD / Westbrook would be one of the very few teams with 3 top 50 HOFers on the same team, so obviously there is a certain expectation that despite ill fitting pieces they should be able to overwhlem their competition.
The only team talent wise that's comparable to the Lakers, as of right now, is a healthy Brooklyn Nets.
As with Brooklyn, the Lakers will have their pick of ring chasers that will fall into their laps as well. Their destiny is in their own hands. Will they choose efficient vet contributors like Rondo and Howard in their title run? Or will they fail by putting ill fitting pieces on the roster like Drummond and Matthews?
