Eh, except when they traded for KG and Pierce before, those guys were 36-37 years old and literally at the end of their careers.
Trading for a 31 year old Harden in his prime years still and pairing him with a 32 year old KD who still appears to be in his prime, along with a 28 year old Kyrie doesn't seem nearly as crazy. They can have a legit contender for the next few years.
But yeah, it's a big price to pay. I think the biggest issue would be chemistry, I can see Harden and KD playing together again but i can't imagine how Kyrie fits in that picture. That's a lot of mouths to feed, and a lot of guys that want the ball in their hands.
I understand that. I just think that they’d lose a fair amount of depth in the trade.. not to mention, the uncertainty surrounding Kyrie rn doesn’t help.
Idk who they’d need to trade to make salaries match etc, but apparently everyone is available outside of KD. Brooklyn willing to included 3 1sts and pick swaps as well.
Harris, Levert and likely more + the picks.. Harden is a generational talent, there’s no denying that.. but there’s no guarantee they’d even come outta the East imo.

eh, i think you're assured at least 1 title with harden and KD though
Not even trying to be biased here, but I still think the Lakers would handle a KD/Harden duo
