Houston could want a package of Tyler Herro, Duncan Robinson, Precious Achiuwa, KZ Okpala, Iguodala, Olynyk and first round picks in 2025 and 2027, sources tell the Miami Herald.

I see two good prospects, a bunch of bums, and two firsts

Seems like a no brainer to pull the trigger on that

Lets run this scenario, they just made the NBA Finals, had 2 big injuries in it that could have made it more competitive.

The new line up in your eyes & its bench would be:

& why do you think that its better or would make for a better result aka championship.

Dragic
Harden
Butler
Bam
?

that's a title contender worth giving up a couple of shooters

Idk man, Harden doesn't seem like Heat hardnose culture of Pat Riley to me..

It'd be a good starting line up with absolutely no bench as opposed to a full team they have now & would sacrifice their future.. Don't think its a no brainer for Heat sir.

is Herro, Robinson, etc 2 picks getting you Beal?

Why do the Heat need to make a trade to get rid of guys who are playing great & have young budding stars lol.. Butler and Dragic are the oldies, but I am also biased in that my opinion is always to support your younger players and future as opposed to leveraging them for a quick 1-2 years of contending now...

Bam is 23 and a star, Tyler is 20 and can definitely grow a lot, Duncan is 26 and a sharp shooter. Keep building imo. But I can see your point to try and take advantage of winning NOW.

I think last years Finals emphatically proved that the Heat did not belong on the same stage as the Lakers, it seemed like the Lakers were coasting and Herro/Robinson were too easy for the Lakers to expose defensively

Also Jae Crowder finally cooled off from 3

I mean, was anyone on Lakers level? Is anyone on their level this year?

They had key pieces missing in last years finals but even with them I agree the Lakers are the better team. They bought that ring fairly well & a bunch of dudes took (& are still taking) the pay cut for the jewelry.

Heat excelled in a controlled bubble environment where they didn't have to travel, and went on a fairytale overachieving run. That allowed their young guys to thrive because there was no external pressure and they played on the same court every time.

Does anyone expect them to repeat that? Hell no.
